For over 7 years, Michael Bui dedicated his life to advocating for young men and women in Orange County. Whether it was through ministry at his parish or social services through the OC Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance, he accompanied, educated, and gave a voice to the youth in his community. He has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of young people.
Tragically, we lost his fearless spirit on Sunday, September 30, 2018. He was only 30 years old and left this world too soon. Michael, we will miss your joy and enthusiasm as a friend and a champion for others.
Michael was deeply loyal and dedicated to his family and we are raising money to help them offset the costly expenses of laying him to rest.

The Team:
We are his closest friends who have traveled with him around the world; who have celebrated holidays, birthdays, and weddings; we have laughed and cried for over 15 years together. Some of us are even Michael's cousins.
We all met at St. Callistus Church in Garden Grove during the Confirmation program and continue to live in Orange County where we've all grown up. Even though we don't all live in the same city, we continue to gather for all of life's milestones and the occasional BBQ.
How the funds will be used:
Anh 'Cecilia' Phan, a close friend, will withdraw the funds in her name and then will transfer all the funds to his sister, Trang Bui, through a SchoolsFirst member-to-member transfer. His sister, Trang, who has coordinated all of his funeral arrangements, will take care of Michael's finances and use the monies to pay for the costs related to laying him to rest.
