To Mike Powert's family & friends, 

My name is Spencer Parks, I am Haley's husband and Mike's son -in-law. Mike unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, November 5th. As most of you know Mike loved his girls more than anything in this world. His girls, Haley and Taylor, meant everything to him. As we are all tragically dealing with the unexpected loss of Mike, what has been made clear is that the girls have it the hardest. We did not know Mike would leave this world so soon. We are unprepared for the next several weeks and months along with the financial burdens that come along with the unexpected passing of an immediate family member. The girls have been left with the responsibility of arranging a memorial service for Mike and the many expenses that came with his passing. Mike would not have wanted his daughters to struggle in doing this. As Mike's son-in-law I am asking for our friend’s and family's help to lighten the burden of this tragedy and make this as least stressful as possible. Most of you may know Mike was expecting his first grandchild come March. Haley was on Mike's health insurance policy through the amazing company he worked for, but now due to his passing those benefits have been terminated. Any donations will also go towards our medical expenses to ensure that Haley and the baby receive the medical care/coverage that Mike worked so hard to provide. We appreciate the outpouring of calls and messages about Mike and hope to see everyone that Mike touched in life at his memorial service.
