Michael Pies is my father. My name is Kiera Montoya (Kiwi Pies). Michael was diagnosed in December with stage 4 Glioblastoma brain cancer. Aggressively spread throughout, he was not a candidate for surgery, making his time with us shorter. He held on and fought as long as he could. After months of fighting, he let go April 3rd, 2025 at 4:15am. He was very loved and his life will be celebrated. Jolie Pies (his wife, my mom) and I are not only grieving his loss, but were financially struggling. We are humbly asking for help to cover cremation costs and any other related expenses. Any help is appreciated.

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone’s help and some assistance from the county, we were able to afford Michael’s ashes. Unfortunately we were not able to afford a proper funeral/service. We’re very thankful to have gotten his ashes and respected his wishes. Thank you for your help.
