Michael Payne, Payne Family Tragedy's on Easter Weekend 2024

Hello, My name is Yvonne, I am a friend of the Payne Family. I have worked with Michael Payne's Mother Mariann for about the past 3 years. This is a hard working honest family. About three weeks ago Mariann's daughter Stephanie was sent home to Mariann's family home on Hospice. Michael was a main caretaker for his sister Stephanie when her parents were at work. Stephanie was 42 and Michael is 34.

This past Saturday, the day before Easter, Michael, his brother and niece went on a walk outside the family home. Suddenly, a truck was on the road and ran over Michael crushing his skull, face and causing many other injuries. 911 was called immediately as the truck sped away. Michael was airlifted to Sant Fe, then to Albuquerque where he remains in critical condition. YES, help is also needed to find this run away driver!

Most of the family raced to MIchael's side at the hospital(s). Mariann remained home with her dying daughter. Sadly her daughter Stephanie passed away the day after Michael was run over....

Like I said this is a consistent hard working family. I am actually Mariann's supervisor at work and have also employed two other family members over the years.

I will be contributing to this family! The funds are needed for the many trips to Albuq. to sit with Michael and encourage him at this time. There will be many trips, time missed from work and medical expenses the family will have to cover somehow. He has a long recovery ahead of him. All are hopeful he will survive and return home. He was successfully taken off the ventilator today.

Then there's Stephanie funeral. She wanted to be cremated and the family will do so but they won't have services until Michael is able to be a part of process. He was a big part of her life. At this time the family is praying for Michaels recovery and not thinking of their hardship to come. There hearts are broken over Stephanie's passing and the unthinkable crime that happened to Michael just outside their home!
