Michael Patrick Hegarty

Hi my names chelsea Egan the granddaughter of Michael Hegarty of Avon road.

My grandad peacefully passed away on Saturday 23rd July 2022 at his table which most of burnage will know he loved his old little table looking out at the world waving at everyone and smiling.

His infectious laugh lit up the community, his stubbornness would make you all laugh, even when he couldn’t hear anyone he would still make a conversation and laugh and joke with yourselves.

As most of burnage know it was just me grandad and my mum Deborah Hegarty so not only are we dealing with a death of our life and soul we have to worry about the financial side of it.

Some may know my grandad from being a DJ in the pub ‘mickeys Irish disco’ jiving away with him while he played the best music going.

My grandad blessed the burnage community for 27 years and everyone knew who he was.

The family would really appreciate anything at this hard time for us even sharing helps I know times are so hard and I really did not want to even do this.. but I have to give the most happiest laughable cheekiest man the best funeral he could possibly have..

not just for him but for his children and his grandchildren.
