Update:  With a heavy heart, we are saddened to share that Dr Michael Park has died of complications of HLH.   His wife and family were by his side as he passed peacefully at the University of WA Medical Center earlier today, July 16.  Please keep his wife and daughters in your prayers.  Be reassured that all funds will continue to support Michael's family... many and continued thanks.

Our friend and colleague, Dr. Michael Park, acquired a very rare autoimmune disease: Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). This life threatening syndrome caused sudden multi-organ failure and encephalopathy, necessitating intubation and kidney dialysis in early June and he remained in the ICU since that time. Loss of income and mounting medical bills now include travel costs for his wife and family as he has was transferred to a regional hospital five hours from his home for more specialized care. Michael and his wife are the proud parents of three very sweet daughters age 6, 4 and 18 months and could truly use our assistance at this fragile time.
