Michael Pareno Ponce De Leon Fund
Donation protected
Our beloved Mikee, 22, passed away tragically and unexpectedly on July 30, 2018. Mikee was a beautiful, sensitive and gentle soul who is gone much too soon and leaves an immense hole in our hearts. Mikee was sweet, generous and always helpful to others. He fiercely loved and protected his younger brother, Glynnie. Mikee had a strong internal compass and never conformed to society for conformity's sake. He had a passion for cooking and sharing good food with others. Mikee loved learning about different cuisines, and he wanted to travel to Nepal to learn about the culture and expand his horizons.
This tragedy is beyond comprehension and the sorrow of his family and friends is heartbreaking.
Mikee is survived by his loving mother, Jenny, loving father Glynn, and loving brother, Glynnie.
Many people who know Jenny or who have simply heard about this terrible story have reached out looking for a way to help. Nearly everyone has expressed a sense of desperation as we struggle to think of ways we can comfort and aid Jenny during this awful time.
To that end, we are collecting donations for a general fund that Jenny can use at her discretion. While this money will not lessen Jenny's grief and agony, we hope that it can be used to make the coming days and weeks slightly more manageable for her and help to offset the funeral expenses.
If you would like to make a donation, any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you feel moved, please light a candle in memory of Mikee.
