Mikes passion for his students and his life’s work as an educator was always apparent to his family, and even more so after his passing with the outpouring of love and support that we witnessed through his Facebook page. The family is going to keep his legacy alive through the local SCV scholarship fund so that’s Mikes passion can carry on throughout the years. This fund will help very select students and their families obtain the education that Mike valued so highly, and we cannot think of a better way to honor him. The goal number associated with this page is rather arbitrary as the family will be funding this ourselves to begin with. However, we wanted to give all of Mikes past students, colleagues and friends an opportunity to participate in honoring such a remarkable human being. Give whatever you can as this is more about the participation then amount collected.
