At the beginning of March my oldest son, Michael Owen, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer.  The cancer has also spread to one of his vertebrae.   He was originally hospitalized with Pneumonia with blood clots in the right lung.  After further tests, it was revealed that he had a mass in his lung.  Cancer was confirmed through a biopsy.  He started chemotherapy about 2 weeks ago and radiation will follow.  We are currently awaiting the results of an MRI of the brain and a Pet Scan.  I pray that it hasn't spread any further.  

He has a young family to support and this has weighed heavily on him.  Although his wife works, it's not enough to take care of all their monthly expenses.  He has a wife and two young daughters, the youngest one being 10 years old.  The stress can be overwhelming.  I hope to relieve some of this stress so he can concentrate on fighting this horrible disease.  He recently had a large expense to have his car repaired which he needs in order to go to his many appointments.  Any money donated will go towards rent, food, medications, utilities, and any other unexpected bills that may arise.

He is hoping to return to work by October after he completes all his treatments and is cancer free.
