Hi, our names are Melissa and Stephanie and we’re raising funds for Michael Occhiuto and his family after experiencing a traumatic injury to his eye socket. Michael is known as a great friend who is always there for everyone and anyone and we want to do the same for him. He loves children and is a beloved uncle to many. On Sunday, he was displaying his love for children as he was playing with my 6 year old son, when he tripped and fell into the kickstand of a bicycle that should not have been there. The kickstand punctured his eye and he was rushed to NUMC via ambulance. He has had one surgery but will need continued facial reconstructive surgeries, in which insurance only covers a certain capped amount, amongst living with the traumatic memories of this event. Our hearts go out to our friend, Michael and his family as they navigate through this troubling time. Prayers and love to the Occhiuto family.
