Hello. My name is Michael Doueihi. I am 49 year old, divorced father of 2 adult children. I am going through a very difficult time in my life with bills that keep piling up. I recently lost my job at Garners Pizza and Wings in East Peoria due to the business going under and out of business in late January 2025. To make matters worse my car engine went out and the repairs will cost more than what the car is worth. I have been agressively looking for work, but alot of it does with the availabily of bus getting back and forth. I have been doing odd jobs to make money and donating plasma 2 times a week to just to cover rent. My utilites Ameran, American and cell phone are getting to point where everything is going to get shut off. I have tried to reach to Salvation Army, Peoria Community Action Agency, and other local groups and churchs including my own of church. The government agencies either do not have funds or will not help me cause I do not minor children in my home. I also was hospitalized for 8 days in late 2023 with ostiomylitis and staph infection and nearly lost my left arm. I left hospital with iv pic and antibiotic bag that had to use 24/7 for 3 months and also wound vac to drain infection. I was out of work 3 months and had home health nurse coming 3 times a week to carry. I lost my job at Portillo where had been 5 years cause my illness. I have been trying to dig myself out the whole last year and half. I was making progress till losing my most recent job. I really need help to catch my power, water, and cell bill before everything is cut off. Any amount of money donated no matter how small or large will greatly help.
