Michael was diagnosed with amyloidosis, a rare disorder, in late 2023 that is causing his kidneys to fail. Amyloidosis has different root causes but in Mike's case, it is caused by Waldenstrom Macroglobulinemia a type of lblood cancer. Before he can be treated for this disorder, he needs treatment to slow down the cancer. Neither of these illnesses have a cure but we're hoping to slow everything down and manage the symptoms as much as possible.

We have a long road ahead of us and Health Insurance only covers so much. I created this Go Fund Me to help us pay for both current and future medical expenses as well as all the expenses that come with dealing with an illness like this.
