Michael needs his friends help!

Hey Everyone

We want to share something about our friend Michael Benedict, who's in a tough spot right now. Michael (38) has, for years now, been consigned to living in a group home far from his home of Provo, Utah. He receives very little in terms of financial resources or emotional support. Michael's dream is to come back to his home state of Utah, to be with his friends, visit his mother's grave, and live a life that's his own... a life like the one he had prior to being taken to Arizona. But to do that will require overcoming a few costly hurdles that are keeping him in Arizona.

Michael lost his caretaker and best friend, his mother, back in 2019. Shortly thereafter he was moved to Arizona where all the contact he had for his entire adult life with friends and family was cut off. We're starting this campaign and raising some money to help Michael get the support he needs for the most basic needs of life, and ultimately hope to be able to get Michael over those hurdles and back home in Provo. With your support we're confident we can get this done - and EVERY donation helps. So please consider supporting our friend and give him a chance to get his life back.

In case you don't know Michael - he was born with a chromosome translocation condition. This has led to developmental issues and various health problems. In spite of these disadvantages, Michael has let none of this prevent him from being an extremely productive, active, and proudly contributing member of the community. Michael worked for years as a bus aide in Utah for the Provo and Alpine school districts helping special needs kids get safely to and from school. To this day many of the parents of those kids remember (and are grateful to) Michael and the impact he had on their special needs children. Michael has a sassy sense of humor and can hold his own with anyone with witty comebacks and one-liners. He constantly disarms us with his humor. He's a special individual which all who know him can attest to.

We're doing this for Michael because we love and believe in him, and we know he deserves a better situation than the one he's in. So, if you can, please consider helping support this effort.
