Michael Muir, humanitarian and great-grandson of the famous naturalist John Muir, escaped with his life, but all else was lost to the LNU Lightning Complex Fire. His home on five acres was reduced to ashes.
Michael has devoted his life in service to others, without compensation, for many years.
Despite living with multiple sclerosis since he was fifteen years old, Michael is a world champion horseman. All revenue from his spectacular horses goes to the non-profit he founded in 2005 (Access Adventure), and he continues to serve as Executive Director.
Access Adventure provides outdoor recreation, open space access, education and therapy for people with disabilities and other underserved members of our community. All services are provided without charge. Michael and his devoted team of volunteers provide these life changing experiences without pay.
Michael lives on a small fixed income with his caregiver and beloved animals. All was lost, without insurance. Please help, however you can.
Michael's friends at Trinity Appaloosa Farm have generously offered to sponsor prizes for donations!
Donations of $450 or more:
A free 2021 stud service to an approved mare to Heza Docolida (ApHC, ASHDA AC, SSB) or R Secrets R Gold Dun (ApHC, CRHA). (A $100 collection fee and shipping applies. Contact Trinity Appaloosa Farm to see if your mare is approved!)
Donations of up to $1000: Get that donation amount off of a 2020 or 2021 Trinity Appaloosa Farm foal for sale.
Donations of $1500 or more: One of the first breedings to Hexenbiest in 2021 with an Approved mare. (He is the only LPLP ASHDA Stallion at this time, and is racking up the wins in ASHDA competition.)
