Michael “Mike” Belkin

Hey everyone!

I have created this GoFundMe page for my dad, Mike Belkin. He is 78 years old and he has dedicated his entire life to tennis. Teaching over 40 years what he loves the most, sharing his experience with all his clients and friends, the ones that became like family to him. Unfortunately, due to his health Mike won’t be able to teach and spread his knowledge anymore.

He has been struggling with pain for the past few years, but he refused to leave the court and stop doing what makes him happy. Eventually, the situation got worse at the point that he needed skin surgery a few times and his body wasn’t able to move the way it used to. Now the situation is more delicate. A month ago, he started having some pain in his leg and it ended up being a blood clot. He was still giving lessons until he moved to Port St. Lucie back in November, when he became physically incapable to keep on doing so and it also affected his general ability to move and live independently.

Due to Mike’s current health situation we need help to cover the expenses of an assisted living, where my dad will be able to receive the help that he needs daily right now.

Today he is part of an assisted living facility called “Sonata Hunters Creek” in Hunters Creek, Orlando. The monthly cost for the facility is $3,295. The first two months plus the association fees have been already paid. He really needs help financially, so it would mean the world if you could show some type of support by donating what you can and sharing this to your others!

We are going to set a goal of 2 years of assisted living for now.
