Dear Family, Friends and Community

We are shocked and devastated by the recent and sudden passing of Michael Thomas, also known as ‘Mikey T’.

Mikey T was a dad, grandad, brother, uncle, friend and a community champion for the QPR Community Trust. His impact on communities, schools and the 1000’s of participants Mikey T has coached and mentored over the last 30 years and will surely leave a lasting legacy.

His hard work was recognised by the club in 2024, where Mikey was awarded the QPR Community Hero Award, for his hard work and dedication, coaching at local schools and holiday programmes. Mikey also supported the homeless by volunteering on Christmas Day at the Crisis Centre, hosting football sessions for local homeless people.

As a family, we were not expecting nor prepared for this loss, and we want to give Mikey T the service and send off he deserves in order to honour his memory and say our last goodbyes.

Therefore, we are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Mikey’s funeral and during this difficult time we are reaching out to the community for help.

Please consider donating if you can, as any amount will truly help, it would mean a lot also if you could donate and/or share Mikey’s funeral fundraiser with others who knew him.

If we exceed our goal, any additional funds will be donated to a charity chosen by the Trust.
