Michael McCowan's Cancer Treatment Fundraiser

Hi. My name is Melissa and I have had the pleasure of working with Michael McCowan since 2009 at Southern Floral Company. We are putting together this GoFundMe to try to give Michael McCowan and his family some support during his cancer treatment. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon and liver cancer and started treatment immediately after diagnosis. As many of you already know, cancer treatment is not easy and without health insurance makes it even more difficult. If you can, please donate to Michael's cancer treatment fund. Every little bit helps during this time of need. Southern Floral Company loves Michael and hopes he finishes his treatment soon so we can see his smiling face again here at the store.

If you don't know Michael McCowan, let me tell you a little about him...

He is a die-hard Cowboy's fan. Always has been. Always will be.

He has a loving wife Shelia whom he cares for very much as well as children and grandchildren who adore him.

He started working at Southern Floral Company in 2001 and quickly became the "face of the store".

He knows customers by name. He remembers customer's children by name as well.

Even if you have had the worst day ever, Michael knows how to put a smile on your face once you enter the building of Southern Floral Company. He is a "people person". He is our "people person".

Let's see how much love we can give to him and his family in this time of need.

UPDATE: Michael, Sheila, and Southern Floral Company would like to thank all of the friends, family, and customers who helped us reach the goal of $5,000.00. WE DID IT! However, since cost are ongoing for Michael's cancer treatment at the moment and Michael not being able to work, we are going to leave this GoFundMe open even though we have met our original goal to see how much help we can give him and his family.
