Michael Mazzarella Memorial Fund

Donation protected
After suffering a massive stroke the week prior, our family is grieving the loss of Michael B Mazzarella.  He was a loyal friend, brother, son, father, stepfather, partner, and most importantly, primary caretaker for his 3 year old autistic son, Anthony.

He turned 50 on April 19th, and was looking forward to reconnecting with friends and family after the dreadful year of quarantine and a long recovery from spinal surgery.  Michael is finally at peace having lived with Crohn’s Disease for the past 30 years, and the countless surgeries and hospitalizations that have been a part of his tortured health journey.

Michael died a hero, donating his organs on his deathbed, but he was also a hero in life, serving on the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower nuclear class aircraft carrier during Gulf War I.  He was a proud graduate of FSU, with a degree in political science, and enjoyed the spoils of brotherhood in Phi Kappa Tau fraternity during his college days.

We are raising funds to help support Michael's life partner, Elizabeth, and their son Anthony as they navigate this difficult time.  Funds will be used to pay ongoing household bills and to start a 529 account to benefit Anthony.
