This is a picture of my brother-in-law Michael Lamb and my son enjoying quality time with each other’s stuffed animals. Mike has Stage 4 colorectal cancer with metastasis to the liver which will require at least two surgeries with one of them being a liver transplant hopefully next year but there are no guarantees. His first surgery (colon resection) is scheduled for 10/14. He lost his job back in April (due to company-wide layoffs of contractors). They have a terrific teenage boy who has Aspergers which is now classified as autism. Mike is an only child and his mother passed away from cancer many years ago. He has some family in Rochester and close friends but we are a small group.

Mike enjoys quality time with his family and he loves to make others laugh. Through out all of this he makes sure that my sister (Jen) and their son (Ian) laugh at least once each day. As you can see from the profile pic, he’s quite ok breaking out toys to hang out with my son and he just loves to make others laugh.

Financially things are getting tough as my sister is the only one supporting their family and we know how expensive medical care can be even with insurance.  The current medical bills are over 8k already and this is before we even get to the hopeful liver transplant for which there will likely be a lot of incendiary costs that are currently unknown to them.

I have known Mike since I was a child. He is part of my family and has been their for me. So I am going to be their for him. I am doing this to help my sister, my nephew and Mike. Any donation would be wonderful. Thank you.
