Michael Lackey Recovery Fund

My name is Dakota John, a former president of the Sigma Tau Gamma chapter at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. This past weekend, one of our fraternity brothers (and my best friend), Michael Lackey, was recently airlifted from Stevens Point to UW Hospitals in Madison with life-threatening injuries after suffering severe burns in a car accident. 

Michael is a beloved brother and well-known in the Stevens Point community for his welcoming and uplifting personality, both at the counter and behind the scenes at Carl D's ice cream shop.

He will be in the hospital burn unit for 3-4 months. As you can imagine, this has created an incredible financial strain on his family, including mounting medical bills, travel, lodging, and the cost of ongoing treatment.

We set up this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the financial burden and allow Michael and his family to focus on his recovery. The funds raised will go directly towards his medical expenses and support while he's in the hospital. Even a small donation can make a big difference in helping Michael get back on his feet.
