Tragically, on January 14, 2019 Michael died in a car accident on his way home from the VA.  Our family is in complete shock--how could such a loving person be taken from this world so soon? We have lost our hero. Michael was the most amazing and fun Daddy of two beautiful  sweet babies, Zaylee (2) and Daenaria (9 months).  Last summer we celebrated their marriage together as a family--he beamed with a joy we had not seen before. We all delighted in his smile and admired his endless love and devotion to his wife and children.

As we process this untimely tragedy and heal together as a family, we ask that you share the love you felt for Michael to help us keep his memory alive and honor his life. If you can give any amount to support his wife and children during this time, please give from your heart and know we are extremely grateful. 


He was truly a great man-- compassionate, forgiving, patient, smart, courageous, strong, talented, and hilariously witty--a brilliant shining soul.  He overcame unimaginable struggles and taught us all to never give up. We miss him in ways that cannot be described, only felt. Our hearts are forever broken, but are also full of LOVE and PEACE knowing that we were the fortunate ones who had the privilege of being loved by Michael.  I can hear him now, watching me type this: "Charity, you spelled my name wrong in three places."  Because he would want to ease my pain and make me smile.
