Michael was involved in a car accident on September 24, 2020 and suffered a severe spinal injury that left him a quadriplegic. His initial care was provided at KU Medical Center and was incredible - they saved his life. After 12 days he transferred to Craig Hospital in Denver where he is getting some of the best therapy and treatment on the planet.
If you know Michael, you will know how important it is for him to be as independent as possible. He is learning about new technology and techniques that will help get him as much freedom as possible given his new condition. This equipment is very expensive. For example, his wheelchair alone will cost him around $25,000.
