Honoring Mike DeToro-Funeral Expenses
Donation protected
Growing up in Middletown, CT with my mom and my brother we faced our fair share of challenges, especially after cancer took our dad Michael when I was only 11 years old, and my brother was 9. I witnessed firsthand the struggle my mom faced during those tough times. Michael attempted to numb the pain and addiction set in. Many of us have seen our loved ones begin to slide down that slippery slope. It wasn’t until the arrival of his children, that Michael began to transform into the man he strived so hard to become. His kids were everything to him and they became his lifeline.
Being a father transformed him. He adored his children and enjoyed being there for them every step of the way.
Michael recently achieved a milestone he was immensely proud of, graduating from the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Side Street to Main Street Business and Leadership Development Program in March 2024. His future looked bright, full of promise, and potential.
I was so excited to go home to go and spend some quality time with my family. Two weeks ago, I was with my brother in CT, watching him enjoy life with his kids at the carnival. He was happy, healthy, and full of joy. He was only 34 years old. His sudden passing has left our family grappling with grief and uncertainty.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will go towards helping covering the funeral expenses. Thank you in advance for your support during this difficult time.
You never think it will be you until that day it is. Please consider helping if you can- even if that just means sharing on social media, in your groups, at your church, work, or school.
