The Urban Family Memorial Fund

In November of 2017, I vividly remember getting a call from Sherry (Mike’s wife) telling me Mike was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Prostate Cancer.  Although we were all hopeful his battle would end with a “survivor” title, sadly it did not.

Mike lost his battle to this terrible disease on January 16th in Redlands, California with his immediate family by his side.  

My heart breaks to think I won’t hear Mike cracking a joke this Super Bowl Sunday, what would be his 53rd birthday; but more importantly it breaks for my dear friend Sherry and their precious children Kyle (17) and Ashley (15).

It is my hope in setting up this Memorial Fund, that it will help finance some of the funeral expenses, the up-coming senior expenses for Kyle, and the forth coming college expenses for both of the children.

Thank you for reaching out to the family with love, words of encouragement, meals, gift cards, flowers and most importantly prayers!  They appreciate all the love and kindness they have been surrounded with, please continue to bless them in the days ahead.
