Honoring the life of Michael J. Misener

Unfortunately, our father passed away recently after multiple health issues and our hearts are broken.

We will always love and miss you Daddy!

He left behind a wonderful wife, Judy, who loved him endlessly and she was his world. Judy and our dad were happily married for 19 years. One day our dad called us into the kitchen for a family talk with Judy and himself, Matt and I were confused and worried that we were in trouble. Then our dad mentioned that him and Judy were going to get married, he was surprised when our response was "What took you so long".

He was an amazing father, a hard-working man, always determined at whatever task he had at hand, and he would help out anyone whenever he could. He could never sit still and always had another project on his mind.

He worked as a hydraulic mechanic his entire life and his vast knowledge of hydraulic systems was astonishing. He knew just about everyone in the industry, and they knew to reach out to him when they needed something fixed correctly and fast. He always had special tricks to get any job done and it's almost as if hydraulic oil ran through his blood, it was all second nature to him.

I (Sarah, his daughter) am thankful that I was able to be living with him and Judy for the past few years and the bond between my father and I became stronger than I even imagined. We would sit for hours just shooting the shit in the garage and those moments I will never forget. Whether it was cooking in the kitchen together, working on his trucks or bouncing off of a 10 foot breaker bar to loosen 1 & 1/4”nuts after him heating them up with a torch to loosen them. I was willing to help any way he needed me. He taught me so much and I wish I had the time for him to teach me more.

I cannot thank everyone enough for their support through these past weeks. I am so thankful for the support system we have. Through all of this, I have reconnected with my aunt Missy, my cousin Julie and multiple friends of my father and his coworkers from his past. They have all been a huge blessing when the times were tough.
