For those of you who knew Michael Peter Hidalgo, you know that his whole life was spent on others. Making others happy with his fun personality or caring for his family.
He took care of both his father, then mother when each fell ill. He lived with his sister, Michele and her sons because she had no one to help her raise her boys and he loved them more than any thing in the world. He assumed the responsibilities of a father to her boys, doing daily for them....such as taking them to school every morning and helping to take care of them when they’d get a cold or the flu, even after he was diagnosed with cancer.
Michael was a wonderful hairstylist and enjoyed making his clientele happy. His personality was upbeat and his skills masterful. When people sat in his chair he would not only make them look great, but feel great by lending an ear or pumping them up with praise and positivity.
Michael’s positivity was boundless, even when diagnosed with stage 4, metastatic prostate cancer 8 months ago. Michael stayed upbeat and remained positive. I now know he did so for us, his family.......always considering us and wanting to reassure us of his strength and not wanting us to worry. He was strong until his last breath, when he lost his battle to the cancer...on February 17th.
It is considering all that Michael did for others, that we, his family humbly ask for your help to help us now give our brother the memorial he deserves. Michele had to stop working back in November, to care for Michael after the cancer migrated to his brain lining and he was too weak to do for himself any longer. The cancer surged in December and helping him fight it was our focus and it all moved so quickly, it gave us no time to prepare for his passing. If you knew Michael or know his family, please help in any way that you can, we would be so grateful!
Thank you!!
