The friends and family of Michael H. (Mike) Miller of Heltonville, Indiana are planning a benefit for Mike on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Old Heltonville School. The event will start at 9:00 a.m. and include a pancake breakfast followed by a cornhole tournament, free throw competition between two gentlemen from Heltonville. If you cannot come or would like to donate instead of attend we have created this gofundme.
On August 15, 2020, Mike sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI) after falling from a ladder in his pole barn at his home on Leatherwood Road. He was STAT flighted to University of Louisville Trauma Center with a brain bleed. Mike required numerous operations and procedures and was in a coma for 6 and a half months. He was transferred to Jewish Hospital and then to Frasier Rehabilitation Center when he began emerging from the coma in February 2021.
Mike continues to require intensive physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as hospitalizations. The financial burden is partially covered by his healthcare insurance but a monthly sum remains for Mike's wife, Linda, to absorb.
Please help us reach our goal to gather donations. All proceeds go to the Michael H. Miller Medical Expense Fund.
We also invite you to join us on May 15th for the pancake breakfast which includes fresh maple syrup provided by Groundhog Road Farms and Brown Station Maple Syrup, both from Heltonville, Indiana.
