Michael H. Farley: Watters Theatre Memorial

Members of the Binghamton University Theatre Department & Friends are raising money to dedicate a seat in Watters Theater or another permanent memoriam in honor of our late friend, Mike Farley.

Mike graduated from Binghamton University in 2020 with his BA in Theatre (Acting/Directing), and even signed the Watters wall as the "oldest major" (pictured below). We feel that dedicating a part of the theater to Mike is a meaningful tribute to the joy and talent that he shared with his fellow actors, colleagues, and friends there.

Mike loved performing: whether it was in acting class scenes, in Guys and Dolls or A Man of No Importance on Watters stage, or singing songs to entertain his friends in the "theatre pods." Even when not performing within the university, he was performing elsewhere: at EPAC, on Facebook recordings, in private voice lessons. He gave his all in not only every performance, but also every friendship. He has made a lasting impact on the Binghamton theatre community, both inside Binghamton University and out. His warm smile, tremendous hugs, and everlasting love for the arts will always be remembered.

The exact funds needed for a chair dedication in Watters Theatre is still TBD. We will be donating any excess money to the Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC), an incredible theatre organization that Mike also loved fondly.
