Michael Guzzi medical/burial fund.

My brother Michael has been battling cancer for almost 10 years now. He has multiple myeloma . He has fought really hard going through chemo and bone marrow transplants. He had fractures all over his body and lived in pain even though he was given pain medication it never really did take all the pain away. He fought like a trooper and still is but it seems as though he's nearing the end. Mike remained independent and refused to be in any institution. He preferred being at home with hospice service making home visits. About 4 days ago things got worse. The cancer has entered his brain. He is no longer coherent, can't stand on his own and seems to be in and out of consciousness. I played some of his favorite music for him as I cried and talked to him without any response. All I could do is hug and kiss my children and wife as they comforted me and did what they could for Mike.  He has lost most of his muscle and looks much different than he did a month ago. I am faced with losing my brother which will most likely be any day now. I find myself in a place that I never thought I would be which is having to find a way to deal with this both emotionally and financially . I spoke to a friend who suggested I start a gofund me page but I felt funny about it. Maybe pride or embarrassment but mostly because I have never really been comfortable asking anyone for help. I always felt more comfortable helping someone. I do love my brother and I could use some help so I thought why not give this a try. Anyone who knew my brother Mike has got to remember him driving his perfectly detailed car blasting some old disco or house music. Lol specifically "walking on sunshine". He is a kind, loving respectful man who loved to cook, drive his car while blasting his favorite music. Mike has been a great brother to his siblings and true friend to many. Always willing to help. Hes had his ups and downs through life like most of us but was always full of love and compassion. Only God knows exactly when Mike will be home with our mom and dad and other family members that we have lost but it clearly will happen soon. I've been contacted by hospice and in the sweetest of ways told how to prepare for the inevitable. Nothing can really prepare you for it even though you've known for some time. Emotionally im a wreck and I dint even want to think about the financial part of it but I would like to have a memorial service for mike. He wants to be cremated. There is a family plot. Mike was so sentimental when it came to my mom and dad and his rightful place is to be with them. I have to find a way to make this happen and any help would be greatly appreciated . I don't even know exactly how much it will cost but somehow I have to make it happen. I don't really know what else to say. Many of our friends and family have reached out and have kept us and our family in their prayers and that alone was very comforting and overwhelming . The love and concern shown was amazing. Thank you all for that. Thank you for taking the time to read this and whether it's a prayer, a phone call or a donation that you can contribute to Mike and our family, I want you to know that it will be appreciated sincerely. Thank you.
