Michael Gilbert Jr. was involved in a terrible accident on March 26, 2021, while on the job delivering packages for residents in north Shelby County.  “Mike” is 38 years old and just celebrated his 1-year wedding anniversary with his Wife, Dominique McGuire Gilbert. 

Mike is one of the frontline workers, that we all appreciate so much. Just one day prior to his accident, he was out working and dodging tornadoes while delivering packages.

His injuries are life-threatening, but miraculously he is alive and improving every day.  Mike has already undergone several surgeries to address the most immediate damage.  We anticipate more surgery as his treatment team is trying their best to save his left leg and treat the severe burns that he sustained in the accident.  Once stabilized, he’s going to require extensive physical therapy.

Mike is tough and Dominique is a pillar of strength, but they are going to need help as they face a long difficult recovery.   All donations will go to help Mike and his family offset medical costs and general expenses as they navigate this challenging time.
