Hi, my name is Susan.

My husband Michael was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate Cancer on October 6th 2025. The cancer has metastasis to multiple areas throughout his body. He is a father of 3 and has 3 grandchildren. We have been married for 42 yrs and have faced adversity before which we have always faced head on and together.

This, however, is one we must face head on with fear in our heart. Fear of the unknown. There is no greater fear than that.

Michael had to close his business he owned and loved when we found out he was sick back in October. Since then we’ve been living on an old aged pension each, with no other income. Our daughter, who we live together with, has been amazing and has helped tremendously, to the point that she is also struggling now. We are in dire need of bills’ paid. We have a hydro bill, a gas bill,and wifi bill, all of which are threatening to cancel our services, we will then end up with no power, no gas, no Wi-Fi. We also have very little food in the house, and all resources have been exercised. Our other 2 children have helped as best they can, but they can only do so much.

I have finally decided to start a go fund me page for Michael to relieve the pressure on family to Without having the pressure of worrying about cancellations and not knowing where our next meal is coming from we can put all our efforts in Michael fighting the cancer. He was the sole provider for us, as I have osteoarthritis in my back and knees. I unfortunately can’t work as I need to have 2 knee replacements. Michael also is on multiple medications all of which are not covered as he has not been diagnosed as terminal in 6 mths. (Which is amazing but also causes more financial hardships, as these medicines are not cheap to control his pain and symptoms he suffers). He has been so strong during the chemotherapy and radiation treatments; a true warrior. Someone who truly will fight to their dying day. We are his strength right now; and we are crumbling.

I am hoping that doing the go fund me it will alleviate the worry for us all so Michael can concentrate on fighting the Cancer.

Michael has gone from running a business one day to being in bed 75% of the time.

Our daughter, who we live with, has been a godsend but it is putting too much pressure and financial hardship on her and her young daughter.

Michael is a wonderful Artist and loves wood burning.

Michael is only 69, a provider, a family man through and through, devoted dad/papa and a loyal husband. His grandkids, and kids need him around; I need him.

During this hard time, Michael needs no stress at this stage in treatment and we want to fight this with everything we have. Anything helps, even a prayer. Please help my husband, my hero.
