This fundraiser is for our friend and sister Christina Rodriguez, who recently lost her husband Michael. Thanks for considering contributing to help support Christina in the most difficult time of her life.

Christina and Michael had been married for six years, and in that time created a devoted network of friends. They threw great parties, shared delicious food and clever stories, and cheered on their friends in all endeavors. It is our turn now to support Christina.

Both of them worked hard, full time, but we all know that is not enough to get ahead in NYC. Michael was a professional chef, who had recently opened his own restaurant/bar in Bed Stuy with two partners. Many friends of theirs, us included, spent evenings at Three Maples, enjoying cocktails and their transcendent elote dip. Christina is self-employed as a successful voiceover artist who has worked in commercials and film.

As a result of Michael's sudden passing, we want to help Christina to get through the next few months. Funeral and memorial expenses, time away from voiceover work, and even just rent are all stressful expenses on the horizon. If you are able to contribute even a little while Christina picks up the pieces and figures out her next move, we'd all be so grateful.
