On the night of Sunday, December 9th, Michael slipped coming in his front door, and while trying to catch himself, managed to slam his hand in the door, cutting off most of the first section of his left pinky finger. Trust me, its as awful as it sounds. The impact severed bone almost down to the first knuckle joint.
At the ER, upon learning that Michael is a musician who depends heavily on that pinky to make a living, they immediately called in a surgeon, and after another consult with him on Tuesday, it was decided they would perform surgery on Friday, specifically to reshape what bone is left, and to graft skin from another source to cover it.
As you can imagine, the medical costs for a procedure like this are through the roof, even after exhausting other financial resources to help subsidize. So we as his friends are hoping to be able to gather around him, Alisa, and the girls to help relieve some of that pressure.
If you are able to contribute any amount, I know it would bless them incredibly. If you can't contribute financially, consider praying for him as he moves through these next few months of recovery.
Thank you!
