Michael Fairhurst

One of our Under 8's parents Michael who is also the team's first aider has unfortunately been diagnosed with Stage 3 Oesophageal cancer which has now spread to other areas of his body. Unfortunately, surgery is no longer an option, so now that he has finished his procedure to help him eat, he will soon be starting chemotherapy.

The amazing Under 8's team have been contacting all the other Hindley teams to see what we can all do as a club to support Michael and his family through one of the toughest times. His family are determined that Micheal will beat this with positivity, love and support!

The Under 8's team would love to give one of their parents, players and family members a weekend away to give them some beautiful memories to help them through this difficult time and show them how much they are loved.

We are an astounding club and have such a great community spirit and have a vast amount of parents and players, it would be incredible to pull together to help an amazing cause. I know it is so close to Christmas but if you can spare anything at all, even if it is just a few pounds please donate and help one of our Hindley ARLFC family members.

Please also can I kindly ask for you to keep this off social media and only share within the team whats app groups as the Under 8's want to surprise Michael and his family.
