Michael Escamilla Memorial and Scholarship Fund

Our family unexpectedly lost a beautiful soul on June 2, 2021. To say we are heartbroken, or devastated, or destroyed doesn't do justice to the feelings we are all navigating with the passing of Michael Ray Escamilla. We lost a brother, a partner, a son, an artist, a guide, and a creative collaborator. We’ve been overwhelmed by the impression he has made in so many people's lives. He was a force of artistry, passion, truth, joy, and love. He wasn't afraid to share his light, his fears, his being on stage, on screen, in intimate conversations, through music, adventures, collaborations, and generous and kind and encouraging words. We are grateful for the time we had with him and are raising funds to help support his family in this difficult time. Please consider contributing to this memorial and scholarship fund for his wife and son. I'm planning to use the monies raised to set up a 529 for his son's college tuition and help financially support their lives for whatever lies ahead. Please respect the family's privacy and grieving process at this time.
