Dearest Family and Friends of Michael “Doc” Fabricant,
Whether you know him as Michael, Mike or Doc, our brother needs our help. I am helping Mike to set up this GoFundMe Account because it is what is needed to help him in the fight of his life for his life. Mike had a CT scan in early November to identify granulomas seen on a previous chest x-ray that turned out to be enlarged lymph nodes. He then underwent surgery to remove a lymph node that popped up on the left side of his neck. A biopsy and colonoscopy in early December narrowed it down to stage four rectal cancer. A pet scan showed the cancer spread to his vertebrae as well as lymph nodes and an MRI on his brain has also revealed cancer on right side of his brain. Currently he is undergoing chemo and hormone replacement therapy and responding very well but still has 2 more rounds of chemo and a long road ahead of him.
Mike is keeping positive about his condition and prognosis and this is where we all can help to support him along in his journey to recovery and good health. Mike or Doc as many of us know him hasn’t been able to work since last year and this along with medical bills that are piling up from lack of decent insurance has taken its toll on him financially as well as physically and emotionally. Mike is currently living in his shop in an effort to conserve money and being the man that he is, he hasn’t told many about his situation until now.
With his permission, we’ve set up this GoFundMe page as a way for Mike to keep us all updated and that we can all support him in his journey with any donation however large or small. Every bit will help. All money that you donate here is directly deposited immediately straight into Michael’s personal bank account and is available to him immediately to help alleviate some of his financial burden and stress.
I’ve personally known Doc for over 20 years and have always known him to be man of strong character, a great father, a hard working business man and ace wrench in his shop, Docs Cycle in Davie, Florida. Throughout the years he has also always been there for those in need and has always been quick to involve himself in many local charities and benefits for others, including myself.
Please keep your responses and feedback all positive as we know being positive and positive action will win this fight.
