With a heavy heart, I am reaching out to let folks know that one of the main founders of People's Park in Berkeley has passed away. I have known Michael for over 30 years and I want to make sure that we honor his legacy and lifetime of struggle and service in solidarity with poor and working-class people. Ours is not a well -esourced community, but surely we can honor and respect a man who dedicated his life to the struggle.

We need to raise funds to make sure that he can be cremated and that we can have a memorial in his honor. It would also do him honor to make sure that his son, Dusk, has deposit, first and last months rent so that he can move into a new place since the apartment he shared with Michael will no longer be available to him.
