With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Michael Troy Dees, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Michael spent a lot his life courageously facing complex medical challenges, and through every step of that long journey, his parents never left his side. They were his constant advocates, caregivers, and source of strength—through years of treatments, hospitalizations, setbacks, and hope.

In the final months of Michael’s life, his parents were required to stay out of town for nearly six months so they could remain close to him during intensive medical care. During that time, they covered the cost of lodging, travel, meals, and countless medical-related expenses, in addition to the ongoing financial burden they had carried for years while caring for Michael.

Now, in the midst of unimaginable grief, they are also facing the cost of Michael’s funeral and burial. This fund was created to help ease that burden—to assist with final arrangements and to help offset the significant expenses they have shouldered through a lifetime of love and care for their son.

This is simply a memorial and family support fund, created to surround Michael’s parents with the same love and support they so faithfully gave to him.
