Michael & Danielle's IVF Journey

Hello, firstly I would like to let you know who we are. We are a little family of 3. Myself, Danielle, my husband Michael and our daughter Anna who is 3 years old.

Our little family of 3 have had to push through a lot of challenges in the last 3 years. Whilst pregnant with our little girl, a tumor was found in my lung. After 2 years of chemotherapy, operations and fighting, I was finally stable enough to continue life with a bit more normality. I will always have the tumor in my lung but this will never hold us back. There is a lot more I could go into detail about what we have been through and will continue to go through but this isn't what we came here to ask for help for, instead its something all three of us have been dreaming and wishing for .

We are now at a time where we really want to become a family of 4. This doesn't come without it's challenges though, physically and mentally. That has never stopped us though! Our close family and friends already know we struggle with infertility. We were blessed to have had a successful IVF treatment 4 years ago, through NHS funding, and that is how we have our beautiful daughter.

We got the all clear from the specialists that It's safe for me to undergo IVF and in general, safe enough for a healthy pregnancy. This felt like the biggest hurdle to overcome! It felt like our dreams had already came true. We waited the year after my treatment before we could even think about having another baby due to all the medications.

As we already had a baby through NHS funding, now have to self fund for IVF. We have saved and tried our best to achieve our goal but unfortunately we still fall short. This felt earth shattering because we weren't and are not ready to give up on our dream of another baby. We have come this far along our journey that we want to give it one more shot to try reach our goal target, the last hurdle so we can begin IVF.

We would really appreciate any help you can give. We will continue to work hard and save any money we can ourselves. The target I've set is high, but even if we only gain a tiny amount from this we would feel honoured.

If we manage to achieve our goal and get to go ahead with our IVF journey, I will share our progress and keep everyone updated on how things are going. I remember being blown away with everything that's involved with IVF and sharing our journey may just help someone through the difficulties they may face if they ever find themselves in a similar position. Its tough, exciting and scary all in one but absolutely worth it.
