What a difference a year can make! After waiting a lifetime to find that special one, my brother Michael finally got married at the age of 62 to his sweetheart Holly. They were so happy, on top of the world, but not for long. A week later, Mike received some devastating news. He had stage 4 prostate cancer. This diagnosis resulted in many trips to Boston for radiation and chemotherapy over the next couple of months. In the interim, the company Mike worked for the last 20 years was sold, and the new owners chose to let go of the senior workers. Mike lost his job and was devastated! Fast forward another couple of months, and his wife, Holly, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been enduring chemotherapy and radiation for months as well. Needless to say, these two cannot catch a break! Unable to work and saddled with medical bills with no steady income has added so much stress to their lives. Unfortunately, they have used all their savings and are in need of financial help. Any of you who know my brother Mike, know he is a totally unselfish, giving person who has always been there for anyone in need.
