In Loving Memory of Michael (Chezzy)

Our hearts are broken to share that our much-loved Michael passed away after a brave battle with lung cancer.

Michael was first and foremost a devoted family man. Nothing brought him more joy than spending time with the people he loved most. Whether it was family trips away, watching the footy, watching his beloved daughter Jade dance, or simply being surrounded by those closest to him, family were always at the centre of his world.

He was a proud dad to Katie, Liam and Jade, and a devoted grandad to his beautiful granddaughter Scarlett, who was truly the apple of his eye.

Even during his time in hospital, Michael never lost his incredible sense of humour. He even kept the nurses smiling with his cheeky banter. Everyone who knew Michael knew him for his brilliant sense of humour, quick one liners and endless banter. He had a way of making people laugh wherever he went, and his cheeky personality will be remembered by so many. He had the biggest heart and would help anyone. He was such a character!

As a family, we are now trying to give Michael the dignified farewell he deserves. Alongside the heartbreak of losing him, we are also facing the financial burden of arranging his funeral.

Michael’s passing has been especially devastating for his youngest daughter, Jade, who is just 17 years old and particularly vulnerable. She has lost her dad at an age when she still needed him the most, and our family is doing everything we can to ensure she is surrounded by love, stability and support as she begins to navigate life without him.
