Hi, my name is John O'Hagan, I'm here to tell you about my best man / best friend, Michael Hopkins (aka Michael, Mikey, Hop, Hoppy, and Barney), who passed away suddenly on Tuesday, 4/19/22.
Mikey worked for 38 years at CBS and for many of those years, he busted his butt working 2 jobs to provide for his family -Kathy his wife of 32 years and their 3 children Ryan, Tommy and Ashlee. The constant show of family love was well known by those who knew Michael. He was a very proud father and all he did was always with them in mind.
Michaels's extended family @CBS knew him as a hard worker who would move mountains to get whatever was needed to be done and complete the seemingly impossible task effortlessly (but don't ask him any questions about how he was able to do such things). Michael was the CBS Director of Special Events and Logistics.
Michael, I know that you will be watching over your family from above, and I want you to know that I will have your back down here. I will miss the laughter you brought to all of us when we were together - until we meet again. Rest in peace, my brother.
Please help support Michael’s wonderful family as they say goodbye to the greatest guy.
Here are a few tributes to Michael that CBS aired over the past few days: "Remembering a CBS Legend."
