Michael "Brent" Kelley needs our help!!!

Hello everyone, my name is Christopher Doutt and Brent is my niece/God daughter's husband.

Brent started to notice blood in his urine Wednesday evening & went to the hospital Thursday morning. They did a cat scan & didn't find any stones but they did tell us his kidneys are not working properly. They told him he would need a biopsy & needed to be transferred to another hospital. After a few hours, they found a hospital that accepted him as a patient (most were full due to the advance, yet again of COVID). He was transferred Thursday night by ambulance to the next hospital. The doctors are concerned because at his age, he shouldn't be having issues. He has no other major symptoms & not much family history (which has made this difficult for doctors to have a solid starting point). They are still constantly drawing blood & taking urine samples to watch his levels with accuracy. He had a ultrasound done Saturday afternoon & we are awaiting those results. They have been flushing him with a saline IV & no improvements have come from that, therefore, they want to keep him hospitalized until they can do a biopsy & then he will still have to stay for observation after that.

Brent has always worked hard to allow my niece to be a stay at home mom, and now, in this difficult time, they don’t know where to turn. He does not have insurance so these medical expenses will be extremely costly and unexpected bills on top of their typical expenditures. They have 3 beautiful children; Anthony (5), Audrianna (3) & Aiden (1). They have had friends and family ask how they can help, so, with Brent being unable to work, and the bills forthcoming, they are not prepared for this. We are acutely aware that given the current state of the economy, money is tight for everyone, however, any & all that you can give will help in this time of need. As a young couple with three little people to provide for, and Brent as their rock, each & every dollar will help more than can be expressed in a short message such as this.
