Club member Michael “Bomber” Sheehan suffered life-changing injuries following a fall at home in June 2025. Since then, Bomber has remained in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.

Bomber is expected to return home in the coming months; however, significant modifications will be required to his home to improve access and mobility and to support his ongoing recovery. To help offset the costs associated with these essential works, the club has set up this GoFundMe page.

Bomber has been a proud member of Hyde for over 60 years, serving the club as a player, coach, and administrator. The Sheehan family has also had a lifelong involvement in both schoolboy and junior soccer throughout the city.
