My brother Mike / Michael Bland was injured when his car caught on fire while he was driving on October 21. He was able to get the car to the side of the freeway and get out, as he kept others from being impacted.

He has burns on his feet that require hospital time in a burn unit. The prognosis is good at this point, but... He will be off work for an unknown period of time. He will be facing ambulance and medical bills, the loss of work, with his regular bills to pay. Eventually, he will need to replace his car.
