Michael ‘Big Mike’ Lewis

Our family lost its strongest solider. The world lost a great soul.

Our Dad, Big Mike, was a life partner to one for over 40 years, a Dad to 6 children, a Paw Paw/Granddad to over 13 grandchildren, a Great Granddad, a Brother, an Uncle and many more.

He was a loving and kind man who did not know a stranger because he had time to speak to everyone. He would buy food for the homeless, offer advice to those in need, help you with your car troubles, etc. His reach was felt in many places, as he was always extending himself.

He was a gentle giant, a great talker, and a jokester with a hardy laugh. Never failing to bring himself to tears with his own humor.

Big Mike worked for UPS in Pico Rivera, CA for many years as a truck driver, and was close to retiring. His sudden death happened in Texas while at a truck stop.

Our hearts hurt at his unexpected death, as he seemed far too great for this reality to happen . He planned to live a long prosperous life in the likeness of his mother who passed in 2022 at the age of 97, and we all believed that for him too. God had other plans.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go to funeral cost, and continued bills that are left behind for the family.
