On Tuesday May 25th, Michael Bidwell and Hannah Lewis suffered a terrible tragedy.

Michael was returning home from work and as he approached his home, he heard the smoke alarms going off. The home's kitchen had caught fire.  Sadly, Michel discovered that all of their pets had been killed in the fire. Michael and Hannah had two dogs (Nugget and Bean) and three cats (Cinder, Pan and Cricket) that were very beloved. The pets have been sent to the Lasting Paws Crematory to be memorialized. Firefighters estimate that one of the pets, either directly or by knocking something over, accidentally turned a knob to ignite a stovetop burner which caught the stovetop cover on fire.

Michael and Hannah were uninjured in the fire, but they are grieving the loss of their beloved pets and are burdened with the damage to their home and belongings. They are still trying to determine what their total out-of-pocket costs will be for the damage to their home, their temporary lodging expenses, and their personal property damages.
