Michael Andres Recovery Fund
On Sunday night Michael was involved in an altercation while ensuring the safety of his daughter and grandson from being driven home by a potentially impaired driver. As a result of his attempt to do the right thing and protect his family, Michael was slammed to the pavement and suffered a broken neck. Within the next few days Michael will be released from Lutheran General Hospital after having rods and screws inserted to help mend his broken neck. Michael will need to wear a neck brace for the next three months making it impossible for him to drive and physical thereapy will be continue for many months beyond that.
We are asking Michael's family and friends to help ease some of the financial burden this traumatic event will have for the next several months as he attempts to get back to work. We truly appreciate any amount that can be pledged over the next few weeks to help fill the gap between the medical expenses that will soon be due and the lack of income from being unable to work.
We will continue to update everyone on his progress. Anyone who knows Mike knows that he's a strong survivor and will do his best to regain his physical abilities and, once again, do what's right for his family and friends.
