Michael Mercanti had brain surgery in September 2017 to remove a tumor.
As a result, Michael is paralysed down his right side and requires full-time care. Yvonne has become a full-time carer for Michael at their family home in Karrinyup.
Family and friends have become aware of the extraordinary emotional and financial situation in which Michael and Yvonne Mercanti are currently experiencing. Many of you are aware of their desperate situation, so rather than talking we have decided to take urgent action in their support.
To compound their problems, all their monetary and property assets are depleted, having been absorbed by court costs, tax payments and of course Michael’s ill health. All of these difficulties combined could mean they may lose their cherished family home and of course we need to safeguard ongoing health assistance for Michael.
The funds raised will be used to support Yvonne, Michael and his care requirements.
Michael and Yvonne are very proud people. Pride is a great and wonderful thing, in this instance it can also be a torment. Throughout the years, they have never once asked for assistance and have been generous to others; and now at this critical time they need your help.
This is a great challenge, which I am sure we can meet.
