My sweet grandson, Tate Noelan Steed, made his arrival into the world far earlier than anyone expected. His mom was admitted to the hospital for two weeks due to preterm labor, doing everything she could to keep him safe and give him more time to grow. Despite every effort, Tate was born at just 26 weeks and 6 days, weighing only 2 pounds 12 ounces. Though he is so tiny, he is already proving to be an incredibly strong little fighter.
Because Tate arrived so early, he is expected to remain in the NICU until around his original due date of May 13th. That means months of growing, healing, and reaching important milestones under the watchful care of his amazing medical team. Every day is a step forward, and every ounce gained is a victory worth celebrating.
As his parents spend their days by his side in the NICU, this unexpected journey has brought significant emotional and financial strain. Between the extended hospital stay before his birth, medical expenses, time away from work, and the many costs that come with a long NICU stay, the burden is heavy. Still, their love for Tate and their faith remain even stronger.
I am creating this GoFundMe to help support them during this incredibly challenging season so they can focus fully on what matters most: being there for their precious baby boy as he continues to fight and grow stronger every day.
If you feel led to donate, share, or simply pray for Tate and his parents, our family would be deeply grateful. Thank you for surrounding them with love, encouragement, and support.
